In order to be inducted into the Pen15 Club it is customary for the initiate to have Pen15 written on their hand or other visible body part in order to cause embarrassment to the individual once they realize what “Pen15″ resembles.  Many tricks are used to lure members into the club, some simply ask if they the individual would like to join the pen15 club and after the person agrees they write it on their hand.  Others may write Pen14 on their own hand and say they are in the Pen club and ask if the individual would like to be Pen15.  Most often this is considered a grade school prank alcohol can also be a catalyst for recruiting activities.
